Psalms 20

May the Lord hear you on the day of trouble; may the name of Jacob’s God defend you.

May he send you help from the holy place and support you from Zion.

May he remember every sacrifice of yours and make your whole burnt offering rich. Pause.

May he give you what is in your heart and fulfill all your counsel.

We will rejoice in your rescue and be magnified in the name of our God. May the Lord fulfill all your requests.

Now I know that the Lord saved his anointed one. He will hear him from his holy heaven. The rescue of his right hand is in mighty acts.

Some are magnified in chariots and some in horses, but we will be magnified in the name of the Lord our God.

They were tripped and fell, but we rose and were set upright.

Lord, save your king, and hear us on whatever day we call upon you.
