Psalms 8

For the end, concerning the winepresses. A psalm by David.

Lord, our Lord, how wonderful your name is throughout the earth! Your majesty is raised above the heavens.
From the mouths of infants and nursing babies you prepared praise because of your enemies, to bring down the enemy and avenger.
I will look at the heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and stars you established.
What is a human being, that you remember him, or a son of man, that you visit him?
You made him a little less than messengers and crowned him with glory and honor.
You set him over the works of your hands and placed everything beneath his feet:
all sheep and oxen, along with the cattle of the field,
the birds of heaven, the fish of the sea, and the creatures that travel the paths of the seas.
Lord, our Lord, how wonderful your name is throughout the earth!
