Nehemiah
Nehemiah 7
The Wall Is Finished and the Gates Are Set
1 When the wall had been built and I had set up the doors, the gatekeepers and the singers and the Levites were appointed; 2 and I gave my orders to Hananiah my brother and to Hananiah the ruler of the citadel in Jerusalem, because he was a true man and feared God beyond many. 3 And I said to them, “The gates of Jerusalem are not to be opened until the sun is up; and while the men are still on watch, let the doors be shut and barred. And post guards from among those who live in Jerusalem, each man at his watch, and each man opposite his own house.”
