Joshua 19

1 And the second lot came out for the children of Simeon, and their inheritance was in the middle of the portions of the children of Judah. 2 And their portion was Beersheba, and Samaa, and Koladam, 3 and Arsola, and Bola, and Asom, 4 and Elthoula, and Boula, and Hormah, 5 and Ziklag, and Baithmachereb, and Sarsusin, 6 and Batharoth, and their fields: thirteen towns and their villages; [a]

7 Eremmon, and Thalcha, and Ether, and Ashan: four towns and their villages, 8 all around their towns, as far as Barek, on the way to Bameth toward the south. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their clans. 9 The inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon came out of the portion of Judah, because the share of the children of Judah was greater than theirs; and the children of Simeon received their inheritance in the middle of their portion.

10 And the third lot came out to Zebulun according to their clans. The borders of their inheritance will be Esedek [b] 11 Gola. Their borders are the sea and Maragella, and it will join Baitharaba at the valley that lies opposite Jekman, 12 and it turned back from Sedduk in the opposite direction, from the east of Beth-shemesh, to the borders of Chaselothaith; and it will pass on to Dabiroth, and will go up to Phangai; 13 and from there it will go round in the opposite direction, to the east, to Gebere, to the town of Katasem; and it will pass on to Remmona, Amathar, Aoza;

14 and the borders will go round to the north, to Amoth, and they come out at Gaiphael, 15 and Katanath, and Nabaal, and Symoon, and Jericho, and Baithman. [c] 16 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Zebulun according to their clans — towns and their villages.

17 And the fourth lot came out to Issachar. 18 And their borders were Jazel, and Chesulloth, and Sunan, 19 and Agin, and Siona, and Reeroth, and Anachereth, 20 and Dabiron, and Kison, and Rebes, 21 and Remmas, and Jeon, and Tomman, and Aimarek, and Bersaphes.

22 And the borders will join Gaithbor, and Salim toward the sea, and Beth-shemesh; and its borders come out at the Jordan. 23 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their clans — the towns and their villages.

24 And the fifth lot came out to Asher. 25 And their borders were from Eleketh, and Aleph, and Baithok, and Keaph, [d] 26 and Elimelech, and Amiel, and Maasa; and it will join Carmel toward the sea, and Sion, and Labanath; 27 and it will turn back from the rising of the sun, and Baithegeneth, and will join Zebulun, and from Gai and Phthaiel to the north; and the borders will come to Saphthaibaithme, and Inael, and will pass on to Choba Masomel, 28 and Elbon, and Rehob, and Ememaon, and Kanthan, as far as great Sidon.

29 And the borders will turn back to Ramah, and as far as the spring of Masphassat, and the Tyrians; and the borders will turn back to Jasiph, and it comes out at the sea; and from Leb, and Echozob, 30 and Archob, and Aphek, and Raau. 31 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their clans — towns and their villages.

32 And the sixth lot came out to Naphtali. 33 And their borders were Moolam, and Mola, and Besemiin, and Arme, and Nabok, and Jephthamai, as far as Dodam; and its goings out were at the Jordan. 34 And the borders will turn back toward the sea at Enath Tabor, and will pass on from there to Jacana, and will join Zebulun on the south, and Asher will join it toward the sea, and the Jordan toward the rising of the sun.

35 And the walled towns of the Tyrians: Tyre, and Omatha, Daketh, and Chinnereth, 36 and Armaith, and Arael, and Hazor, 37 and Kedesh, and Assari, and the spring of Hazor, 38 and Keroe, and Megala, Arim, and Baiththame, and Thessamys. 39 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali.

40 And the seventh lot came out to Dan. 41 And their borders were Sarath, and Asa, the towns of Sammaus, 42 and Salabin, and Ammon, and Silatha, 43 and Aijalon, and Thamnatha, and Ekron, 44 and Alkatha, and Begethon, and Gebeelan, 45 and Azor, and Banaibakat, and Gath-rimmon; 46 and from the sea, Jerakon, the border near Joppa.

47 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their clans — their towns and their villages. And the children of Dan did not press out the Amorite who was pressing them hard in the hill country; and the Amorites would not let them come down into the valley, and they pressed them out of the border of their share. 48 And the children of Judah went and made war on Lachish and took it, and struck it with the edge of the sword, and settled in it, and called its name Lasendak. And the Amorite held on and went on living in Elom and in Salamin; and the hand of Ephraim grew heavy on them, and they paid them tribute. [e]

49 And they went to take possession of the land according to their border. And the children of Israel gave a portion to Joshua son of Nun among them, 50 by the decree of God; and they gave him the town he asked for, Timnath-serah, which is in the hill country of Ephraim; and he built the town and lived in it. 51 These are the divisions which Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun and the heads of the fathers' houses in the tribes of Israel gave out as inheritances by lot, in Shiloh before the Lord at the doors of the tent of witness. And they went to take possession of the land.
