Joshua
Joshua 15
The Border of Judah
1 And the borders of the tribe of Judah, by their clans, ran from the borders of Edom, from the wilderness of Zin, as far as Kadesh southward. 2 And their border was from the south as far as a part of the Salt Sea, from the ridge that runs southward. 3 And it goes on in front of the ascent of Akrabbim, and goes round Zin, and goes up from the south to Kadesh-barnea; and it comes out at Hezron, and goes up to Addar, and goes round west of Kadesh. 4 And it goes on to Azmon and comes out at the valley of Egypt, and the end of its borders is at the sea. These are their borders on the south.
5 And their borders on the east are the whole Salt Sea as far as the Jordan. And their borders on the north run from the ridge of the sea and from the part of the Jordan: 6 the borders go up to Beth-hoglah, and pass on north of Beth-arabah, and the borders go up to the stone of Bohan son of Reuben; 7 and the borders go up to the fourth part of the valley of Achor, and go down to Gilgal, which is opposite the ascent of Adummim, which lies south of the valley; and they come out at the water of the Spring of the Sun, and their end is the Spring of Rogel. 8 And the borders go up to the valley of Hinnom, behind Jebus on the south — this is Jerusalem — and the borders come out at the top of the mountain that faces the valley of Hinnom toward the sea, on the side of the land of Rephaim to the north.
9 And the border comes out from the top of the mountain to the spring of the water of Nephtoah, and comes out at Mount Ephron; and the border leads to Baal — this is the city of Jarim. 10 And the border turns from Baal to the sea, and passes on to Mount Assares behind the city of Jarim on the north — this is Chesalon — and it comes down to the City of the Sun and passes on southward. 11 And the border comes out behind Ekron to the north, and the borders come out at Shikkeron, and pass by Mount Baalah, and come out at Jabneel; and the end of the borders is at the sea. 12 And their borders on the west: the Great Sea is the boundary. These are the borders of the children of Judah all around, by their clans.
Caleb's Share, and Achsah's Springs
13 And to Caleb son of Jephunneh he gave a share in the midst of the children of Judah, by the decree of God; and Joshua gave him the city of Arbok, the mother-city of Anak — this is Hebron. 14 And Caleb son of Jephunneh destroyed from there the three sons of Anak: Sheshai and Talmai and Ahiman. 15 And Caleb went up from there against the people living in Debir; and the name of Debir before this was the City of Writings.
16 And Caleb said, “Whoever takes the City of Writings and cuts it down and masters it, to him I will give my daughter Achsah as a wife.” 17 And Othniel son of Kenaz, the younger brother of Caleb, took it; and Caleb gave him Achsah his daughter as his wife.
18 And as she was coming in, she urged him, saying, “I will ask my father for a field.” And she cried out from the donkey. And Caleb said to her, “What is it you want?” 19 And she said to him, “Give me a blessing, because you have given me over into the land of Nageb; give me Golathmain.” And Caleb gave her Golathmain the upper and Golathmain the lower. 20 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah.

21 And their towns were these. The first town of the tribe of the children of Judah, on the borders of Edom in the wilderness, was Kabzeel; and Ara, and Hazor, 22 and Ikam, and Regma, and Aruel, 23 and Kedesh, and Asorionain, 24 and Mainam, and Balmainan, and their villages,
