Exodus
Exodus 37
The Curtains, the Veil, and the Court
1 And they made the ten curtains for the tent: 2 forty-two feet was the length of each curtain — all of them the same — and six feet the width of each curtain. 3 And they made the veil of blue and purple and spun scarlet and fine twisted linen, a weaver’s work, with cherubim, 4 and they hung it on four posts of wood that does not rot, overlaid with gold, with gold tops, on their four silver bases. 5 And they made the screen for the door of the tent of witness, of blue and purple and spun scarlet and fine twisted linen, a weaver’s work, with cherubim, 6 with its five posts and their hooks. They overlaid their tops and their bands with gold, and their five bases were bronze. 7 And they made the court. On the south side, the hangings of the court were of fine twisted linen, a hundred and fifty feet along, 8 with their twenty posts and their twenty bases; 9 and on the north side, a hundred and fifty feet along, with their twenty posts and their twenty bases; 10 and on the side toward the sea, hangings of seventy-five feet, with their ten posts and their ten bases; 11 and on the side toward the sunrise, seventy-five feet: 12 hangings of twenty-two and a half feet along the one flank, with their three posts and their three bases, 13 and on the second flank — on either side of the gate of the court — hangings of twenty-two and a half feet, with their three posts and their three bases. 14 All the hangings of the court were of fine twisted linen, 15 and the bases of the posts were bronze, and their hooks silver, and their tops overlaid with silver, and the posts themselves overlaid with silver — all the posts of the court. 16 And the screen of the gate of the court was an embroiderer’s work, of blue and purple and spun scarlet and fine twisted linen: thirty feet long, and its height — its width upright — seven and a half feet, matched to the hangings of the court, 17 with their four posts and their four bronze bases, their hooks of silver, and their tops overlaid with silver; 18 and the posts themselves were overlaid with silver, and all the pegs of the court around were bronze.
The Builders Named
19 And this was the arrangement of the tent of witness, as it was ordered to Moses — the service to belong to the Levites, through Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 20 And Bezalel, the son of Uri, of the tribe of Judah, made everything just as the Lord had commanded Moses; 21 and with him Eliab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, who was master-builder of the woven work and the needlework and the embroidery, weaving in the scarlet and the fine linen.
