Revelation 22

1 And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, going out from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 in the middle of its street; and on this side of the river and on that, a tree of life making twelve fruits, giving back its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. [a] 3 And every accursed thing will be no more. And the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his slaves will serve him, [b] 4 and they will see his face, and his name on their foreheads. 5 And night will be no more, and they have no need of the light of a lamp and light of the sun, because the Lord God will shine on them; and they will reign forever and ever. [c]

6 And he said to me, “These words are faithful and true; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his messenger to show his slaves what must happen quickly.” 7 “And look, I am coming quickly. Blessed is the one keeping the words of the prophecy of this scroll.” [d]

8 And I, John, the one hearing and seeing these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell to bow down before the feet of the messenger showing me these things. [e] 9 And he says to me, “See that you do not! I am a fellow slave of yours and of your brothers the prophets and of those keeping the words of this scroll. Bow down to God.” [f]

10 And he says to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this scroll, for the time is near. [g] 11 Let the one doing wrong still do wrong, and let the filthy one still be made filthy, and let the righteous one still do righteousness, and let the holy one still be made holy.” [h]

14 Blessed are those washing their robes, so that their authority will be over the tree of life and they may enter by the gates into the city. [j] 15 Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the sexually immoral and the murderers and the idol-servers, and everyone loving and doing a lie. [k]

16 “I, Jesus, sent my messenger to testify these things to you for the gatherings. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright star, the morning one.” [l]

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one hearing say, “Come.” And let the one who thirsts come; let the one who wants take water of life freely. [m]

18 I testify to everyone hearing the words of the prophecy of this scroll: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the blows written in this scroll; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and out of the holy city, from the things written in this scroll. [n]

20 The one testifying these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen; come, Lord Jesus. [o] 21 The favor of the Lord Jesus be with all. [p]
