Revelation 14
The Lamb on Mount Zion
1 And I saw, and look — the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice out of heaven like a voice of many waters and like a voice of great thunder; and the voice that I heard was like lyre-players playing on their lyres. 3 And they sing as it were a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one was able to learn the song except the hundred and forty-four thousand, the ones bought from the earth.
4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones following the Lamb wherever he goes. These were bought from among people as a firstfruit to God and to the Lamb, 5 and in their mouth no lie was found; they are without blemish.
Three Messengers
6 And I saw another messenger flying in mid-heaven, having an everlasting good news to announce to those seated on the earth and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people, 7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come; and bow down to the one who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters.”
8 And another, a second messenger, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who has made all the nations drink out of the wine of the fury of her whoring.”
9 And another messenger, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone bows down to the beast and its image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he too will drink out of the wine of the fury of God, mixed unmixed in the cup of his wrath, and he will be tormented in fire and sulfur before holy messengers and before the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest day and night — those who bow down to the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”
12 Here is the endurance of the holy ones, those who keep the commands of God and the faith of Jesus. 13 And I heard a voice out of heaven saying, “Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “so that they will rest from their labors, for their works follow with them.”
The Harvest and the Winepress
14 And I saw, and look — a white cloud, and on the cloud one seated like a son of man, having on his head a golden crown and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another messenger came out of the sanctuary, crying with a loud voice to the one seated on the cloud, “Send your sickle and reap, because the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is dried.” 16 And the one seated on the cloud threw his sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.
17 And another messenger came out of the sanctuary in heaven, having also himself a sharp sickle. 18 And another messenger out of the altar, the one having authority over the fire; and he called with a loud voice to the one having the sharp sickle, saying, “Send your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, because her grapes are ripe.”
19 And the messenger threw his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the fury of God. 20 And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress as far as the bridles of the horses, for about two hundred miles.
