Revelation 11
Measure the Sanctuary
1 And a reed like a rod was given to me, saying, “Rise and measure the sanctuary of God and the altar and those who bow down in it. 2 And the court outside the sanctuary — throw it outside and do not measure it, because it was given to the nations, and they will trample the holy city forty-two months. 3 And I will give to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”
The Two Witnesses
4 These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. 5 And if anyone wants to harm them, fire goes out of their mouth and eats up their enemies; and if anyone should want to harm them, in this way he must be killed. 6 These have the authority to shut the sky, so that no rain may fall in the days of their prophecy, and they have authority over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every blow as often as they want.
7 And whenever they finish their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them and will conquer them and will kill them. 8 And their corpse will be on the street of the great city, which is called spiritually Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was also crucified. 9 And some out of the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations look at their corpse three days and a half, and they do not allow their corpses to be put in a tomb. 10 And those who dwell on the earth rejoice over them and are glad, and they will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.
11 And after the three days and a half a spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those watching them. 12 And they heard a loud voice out of heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them. 13 And in that hour a great earthquake happened, and the tenth of the city fell, and seven thousand names of people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest became terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven. 14 The second woe has gone. Look, the third woe is coming quickly.
The Seventh Trumpet
15 And the seventh messenger sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying:
16 And the twenty-four elders who are seated before God on their thrones fell on their faces and bowed down to God, 17 saying:
19 And the sanctuary of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen in his sanctuary; and there were lightnings and voices and thunders and an earthquake and great hail.
