Galatians
Galatians 6
Carry One Another’s Burdens
1 Brothers, even if a person is caught in some transgression, you who are spiritual are to mend such a one in a spirit of gentleness, watching yourself, so that you too are not tested. 2 Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fill up the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives his own mind. 4 But let each prove his own work, and then he will have the boast in himself alone and not in the other; 5 for each will carry his own load. 6 And let the one who is taught the word share in all good things with the one who teaches.
What a Person Sows
7 Do not go astray: God is not sneered at. For whatever a person sows, this he will also reap; 8 because the one who sows into his own flesh will reap decay out of the flesh, but the one who sows into the Spirit will reap everlasting life out of the Spirit. 9 And let us not lose heart in doing what is good, for in its own time we will reap, if we do not give out. 10 So then, as we have time, let us work what is good toward everyone, and most of all toward those of the household of the faith.
In My Own Hand, in Large Letters
11 See with what large letters I have written to you with my own hand. 12 As many as want to make a good showing in flesh, these are compelling you to be circumcised — only so that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. 13 For not even those who are circumcised keep the law themselves; but they want you to be circumcised so that they may boast in your flesh.
14 But may it never be for me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 For neither is circumcision anything nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. 16 And as many as will walk in line by this measuring rod — peace on them, and mercy, and on the Israel of God.
17 From now on let no one cause me troubles, for I carry on my body the marks of Jesus. 18 The favor of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.
