Romans 16

Phoebe, Our Sister

1 Now I commend to you Phoebe our sister, who is also a servant of the gathering in Cenchreae, 2 so that you may receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of the holy ones, and stand by her in whatever matter she may need from you; for she herself became a patron of many, and of me myself.

Greet Them All

3 Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, 4 who laid down their own neck for my life — to whom not only I give thanks but also all the gatherings of the nations — 5 and greet the gathering at their house. Greet Epaenetus my beloved, who is the firstfruit of Asia for Christ. 6 Greet Mary, who worked hard for you. 7 Greet Andronicus and Junia, my relatives and my fellow prisoners of war, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

8 Greet Ampliatus, my beloved in the Lord. 9 Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and Stachys my beloved. 10 Greet Apelles, the approved in Christ. Greet those who are of the household of Aristobulus. 11 Greet Herodion my relative. Greet those of the household of Narcissus who are in the Lord. 12 Greet Tryphaena and Tryphosa, who work hard in the Lord. Greet Persis the beloved, who worked hard in the Lord. 13 Greet Rufus, the chosen one in the Lord, and his mother — and mine.

14 Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brothers with them. 15 Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the holy ones with them. 16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the gatherings of Christ greet you.

Watch Out for Those Who Make Divisions

17 Now I call on you, brothers, to watch out for those who make the splits and the stumbling blocks contrary to the teaching that you learned, and turn away from them; 18 for such people do not serve our Lord Christ but their own belly, and through smooth talk and fine words they deceive the hearts of the innocent. 19 For your obedience has reached everyone; so I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise toward what is good, and innocent toward what is evil. 20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet quickly. The favor of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Those With Me Greet You

21 Timothy my fellow worker greets you, and Lucius and Jason and Sosipater my relatives.

22 I, Tertius, who wrote this letter, greet you in the Lord.

23 Gaius, host to me and to the whole gathering, greets you. Erastus the manager of the city greets you, and Quartus the brother. 24 The favor of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you. Amen.
