Enoch
Enoch 80
What Uriel has shown
1 And in those days the messenger Uriel answered and said to me, “Look, I have shown you everything, Enoch, and I have revealed everything to you, so that you should see this sun and this moon, and the leaders of the stars of heaven and all those who turn them, their tasks and times and departures.
The days of the sinners
2 And in the days of the sinners the years will be shortened,
And their seed will be slow on their lands and fields,
And all things on the earth will change,
And will not appear in their time:
And the rain will be held back
And heaven will withhold it.
3 And in those times the fruits of the earth will be late,
And will not grow in their time,
And the fruits of the trees will be withheld in their time.
4 And the moon will change her order,
And not appear at her time.
5 And in those days the sun will be seen, and he will journey in the evening at the far edge of the great chariot in the west,
And will shine more brightly than the order of light allows.
6 And many chiefs of the stars will transgress the order prescribed.
And these will change their orbits and tasks,
And not appear at the seasons prescribed for them.
7 And the whole order of the stars will be hidden from the sinners,
And the thoughts of those on the earth will go astray concerning them,
And they will be changed from all their ways,
Yes, they will go astray and take them to be gods.
8 And evil will be multiplied upon them,
And punishment will come upon them
So as to destroy all.”
