Malachi 4

1 “Look — the day of the Lord is coming, burning like an oven, and it will consume them. All outsiders and all who do lawless things will be stubble, and the coming day will set them on fire,”

says the Lord Almighty.

“No root or branch will be left of them.

2 But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise, with healing in his wings. You will go out and leap like young calves released from their bonds.

3 You will trample the lawless, because they will be ashes under your feet on the day I appoint,” says the Lord Almighty.

4 “Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and rules I charged him with at Horeb for all Israel.

5 Look — I will send you Elijah the Tishbite before the Lord’s great and renowned day comes.

6 He will turn the heart of a father toward his son and a person’s heart toward his neighbor, so that I do not come and strike the earth completely.”
