Sixth Vision: The Flying Sickle

1 Then I looked up again and saw a flying sickle. 2 He asked me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying sickle, thirty feet long and fifteen feet wide.” 3 He said, “This is the curse going out over the face of the whole earth. Every thief will be punished with death from this side, and everyone who swears falsely will be punished with death from that side. 4 ‘I will send it out,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and it will enter the thief’s house and the house of the one who swears falsely by my name. It will remain in his house and consume its timber and stones.’”

Seventh Vision: The Woman in the Measure

5 Then the messenger who spoke with me came out and said, “Look up and see what is going out.” 6 I asked, “What is it?” He said, “This is the measure going out.” Then he said, “This is their wrongdoing throughout the earth.” 7 Then a lead weight of about seventy-five pounds was lifted, and a woman sat inside the measure. 8 He said, “This is Lawlessness.” He threw her into the measure and threw the lead weight over its opening.

9 Then I looked up and saw two women coming out. Wind was in their wings, and their wings were like a hoopoe’s. They lifted the measure between earth and sky. 10 I asked the messenger who spoke with me, “Where are they carrying the measure?” 11 He answered, “To build a house for it in Babylon and prepare a place for it. They will set it there on its prepared place.”
