Zechariah 3
Fourth Vision: Jeshua the Great Priest
1 Then the Lord showed me Jeshua the great priest standing before the messenger of the Lord, with the Accuser standing at his right hand to accuse him. 2 The Lord said to the Accuser, “The Lord rebuke you, Accuser! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you. Is this man not like a burning stick pulled from the fire?” 3 Now Jeshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the messenger. 4 He said to those standing before him, “Take the filthy clothes off him.” Then he said to Jeshua, “Look — I have taken away your lawless acts. Clothe him in a long robe
5 and put a clean turban on his head.” So they clothed him with garments and put a clean turban on his head, while the messenger of the Lord stood by.
The Charge to Jeshua and the Servant Rising
6 Then the messenger of the Lord solemnly charged Jeshua: 7 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: If you walk in my ways and keep my charge, you will judge my house. If you carefully guard my court, I will give you people who can walk among those standing here. 8 Listen, Jeshua the great priest — you and your companions sitting before you, for these men read portents. Look — I am bringing forward my servant, Rising.
9 As for the stone I have set before Jeshua: on this one stone are seven eyes. Look — I am digging a pit,” says the Lord Almighty, “and I will search out all the wrongdoing of that land in one day. 10 “On that day,” says the Lord Almighty, “each of you will invite his neighbor to sit under the vine and under the fig tree.”
