Hosea 3

1 The Lord said to me, “Go once more and love a woman who loves evil things, an adulteress, just as God loves the children of Israel, though they look to foreign gods and love cakes of dried grapes.” [a] 2 So I hired her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver, about six bushels of barley, and a jar of wine. [b] 3 I told her, “You will remain with me for many days. You must not go whoring or belong to another man, and I will be with you.” 4 For the children of Israel will remain many days without a king, ruler, sacrifice, altar, priesthood, or clear signs. [c] 5 Afterward the children of Israel will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. In the last days they will stand amazed before the Lord and his good things.
